October 2007 / Bott Radio Network Co-Sponsors Code Blue Rally in Memphis!!
Bott Radio Network in Memphis sponsored a Code Blue Rally at Collierville 1st Baptist Church on Sunday night October 21st, 2007.
Over nine hundred people attended the event organized by Brannon Howse, President of Worldview Weekend. Bott Radio Network’s Sunny Caldwell, Shirley Gossett, & Byron Tyler were there to meet listeners & pass out program guides. The Code Blue Rally was created due to the critical state of the church in America. Many of today’s Christians have a worldview that’s no different from those outside the church.
The Code Blue Rally featured Candace Cameron Buré best know as the lovable sister D.J. Tanner on ABC’s hit sitcom Full House. Candace shared how she thought she was basically a good person but didn’t truly know Christ until she compared her life to the moral code of God’s law. This caused her to realize her personal sin before a Holy God allowing her to understand her need to receive God’s forgiveness through Jesus Christ dying on the cross.
Her new life in Christ ultimately brought her husband to the Lord. Those attending the event also heard from Mark Cahill. Mark was a former basketball player & college room mate of Charles Barkley at the University of Auburn. Mark challenged the saved to go out and reach the lost while there’s time.
Best selling author and President of Wall Builders, David Barton was hindered from attending due to an automobile accident the night before the Rally.
