July 2008 / Bott Radio Network Welcomes Anita Renfroe to Fort Wayne, Saturday, July 19th
Bott Radio Network Fort Wayne was pleased to join with Trinity Communications (http://www.trinitycommunications.org) in welcoming Christian comedienne Anita Renfroe to Fort Wayne on Saturday evening, July 19th. Anita, a regular comedy contributor on Good Morning America and featured speaker at Women of Faith 2008 conferences, performed for a nearly sold-out crowd.
Before and after the evening of laughter, people visited the Bott Radio Network AM 1090 display table to pick up a program guide or a helpful booklet from one of our programmers. Here, Control Room Operator Lea Hittle greets listeners and tells them a little about our newest programs.
In the “green room,” Anita Renfroe (center) paused for a picture with Bott Radio Network’s Director of Public Relations in Fort Wyane Terry Foss (far left) and Control Room Operator Lea Hittle (far right), along with Lea’s children Tucker and Audrey.
Anita’s “Purse-onality” routine drew lots of laughter from the crowd as she asked ladies to show off their purses and described just what a “tiny tote-er” of a very small purse is like compared to a “big purse tote-er.” According to Anita, you can tell a lot about a lady by the purse she carries!
After the concert, Anita Renfroe signed autographs right next to the Bott Radio Network AM 1090 display table. That gave us the opportunity to hand out program guides and chat with lots of people as they waited in line to talk to Anita!
A crowd of around 1500 people enjoyed a hysterical “Ladies’ Night Out” with Christian comedienne Anita Renfroe, most-known for her “Momsense” video on youtube. Anita wrapped up the evening of laughter by singing “Momsense” – a song that every Mom can relate to – a song that includes every platitude every Mom has used since the beginning of time -sung (very rapidly!) to the tune of the 1812 overture. If you haven’t heard the song, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W95Y8hNQiH8 . You’ll want to share it with a friend!
