September 2008 / Bott Radio Network In Fort Wayne Promotes 40 Days for Life Kickoff Rally, Sunday, September 21st
Fort Wayne, Indiana, is one of 177 communities from coast to coast conducting simultaneous 40 Days for Life campaigns from September 24 through November 2, a grassroots movement to pray and fast to end abortion in the U.S. Bott Radio Network in Fort Wayne is joining in the effort, broadcasting public service announcements telling our listeners about the Prayer Vigil and encouraging them to sign up to pray at the vigil site at Statewood Baptist Church, across the street from Fort Wayne’s abortion clinic. In addition, AM 1090 is broadcasting a countdown of the 40 days along with prayers recorded by local area pastors, so that listeners can join together to pray every day to end abortion in Fort Wayne.
The keynote speaker for the 40-Days Kick-off Rally was the Co-Founder and Director of the national “40 Days for Life” campaign, David Bereit. The audience was encouraged by his reports of extraordinary changes that are already happening around the country as a result of the 40 Days for Life Campaign.
Pro-life members of the Fort Wayne community gathered for the Kick-Off Rally on September 21st to begin the “40 Days for Life” Fort Wayne campaign. About 300 people joined together in Concordia Lutheran School’s gymnasium to begin this intensive pro-life campaign. The Prayer Vigil Kickoff included members of the Lutheran, Missionary, Evangelical, Baptist, Catholic, and Non-Denominational churches in Fort Wayne and surrounding areas.
Before and after the rally, pro-life families and individuals had the opportunity to visit the AM 1090 display table to pick up information about the station and learn more about our part in the 40 Days for Life campaign.
Bott Radio Network in Fort Wayne’s Director of Public Relations Terry Foss had the opportunity to meet David Bereit after the rally. He stopped by the AM 1090 display table to thank the station and Bott Radio Network for their enthusiastic and generous participation in 40 Days for Life.
