October 2008 / Bott Radio Network Supports a City-Wide Outreach in Nebraska's Capitol City, October 11th & 12th

More than three-thousand volunteers from over a dozen Evangelical churches in Lincoln, Nebraska spent a day sprucing up their city. The outreach called “Project Serve”, was the first ever effort from Christian churches across the city of Lincoln, Nebraska. Project Serve was October 11th & 12th 2008. The effort united thousands of people from over a dozen strong evangelical churches of various denominations. Bott Radio Network in Lincoln, Nebraska partnered with Project Serve to bring a public presence to the outreach within the Christian community. www.bottradionetwork.com/stations/nebraska/lincolnomaha/?.... Through witnessing acts of love and service, organizers believe that the community has an opportunity to see the truth of the gospel in people's lives. Volunteers did everything from painting a restroom in a city park to clearing overgrown vines in a drainage waterway. Participating churches underscored their intention to encourage regular service projects by individuals and corporately. The Project Serve effort was an unprecedented collaboration of Lincoln, Nebraska churches.
