October 2008 / Bott Radio Network Sends Ten Women to Mentoring Moms Conference in Fort Wayne, October 10th and 11th
It was a time away... for restoration and renewal... for encouragement and enlightenment... at the annual Christian Women's "Beauty Instead of Ashes" conference presented by Mentoring Mom's Ministry on Friday and Saturday, October 10th and 11th. Bott Radio Network Fort Wayne was the media sponsor at this outreach ministry event. Five of the women attending the conference were there because they won a free registration for themselves and one for a friend during AM 1090's on-air contest.
Over 150 ladies enjoyed their choice from 23 different workshops including "Women of Purpose", "Learning to Love Yourself as God Loves You", and "Embrace a Life of Peace.' Three main speakers encouraged the women, talking about "A Garment of Praise", "The Oil of Gladness", and "A Crown of Beauty." At the end of the conference, each woman received a crown and a flashlight and all were encouraged as "daughters of the King" to "go light their world!"

Terry Foss, Director of Public Relations for Bott Radio Network in Fort Wayne, greeted ladies at the AM1090 display table and encouraged them to sign up for our prize drawings.
Six prize winners were announced during the main sessions and each winner received their choice of a Christian book or video from the AM 1090 library along with a BRN travel mug, frisbee, magnet, pen and program guide.
